Inventory Associate

Summary   

This position is responsible for the tracking and inventory of materials and products in compliance with the State of Pennsylvania rules and regulations, the movement of products among medical marijuana facilities, and the data tracking management systems to accomplish these tasks.

The successful candidate will possess a passion for organization, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to continually learn more about this unique industry.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory of all plant material, cannabinoids, medicinal marijuana products by conduct daily, weekly and monthly inventory counts in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program.
  • Enter all plant kills as they occur and ensure all new clone plants are entered into MJ Freeway as they are created
  • Track seed to sale of all products as they leave the facility
  • Create new plant ID numbers and tags for all clones
  • Create and implement tracking logs for cultivation staff to ensure all cannabis activity is documented, ensuring they are updated and maintained accurately
  • Liaison with department managers/supervisors to ensure they understand the value and importance of inventory
  • Ensure each department is properly maintaining their area of MJ Freeway as product enters and exits their department
  • Immediately report any discrepancies to the Inventory Manager, escalating to the COO for further action if it cannot be resolved within a 24-hour period
  • Assist Cultivation team when needed

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control or related area.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of computer and office equipment and programs
  • Excellent time-management skills; ability to effectively plan and prioritize
  • Extensive math skills required for inventory, projections, measurements, calculations
  • Skill in managing physical resources (budgeting, inventories, equipment, materials)

Physical Requirements

  • Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Processing Technician

Reports to: Extraction and Processing Lead

Summary

The Processing Technician will be responsible for all aspects of plant extraction and various processes associated with cannabis product development. The Technician provides the daily care and focused attention necessary to process and package clean, high quality, safe medicine for our patients. The successful candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and record keeping, and a willingness to continually learn more about the subject. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with the Company from the ground up, and to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Processing Technician include all aspects of the daily care of medicine from harvest to packaging; monitoring weights and measurements; presentation; and maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the processing area.

  • Assists in harvesting, processing and packaging finished medicine
  • Keeps accurate records on each plant using Company system and protocols
  • Records and tracks accurate weights and measurements of medicine throughout the processing and packaging procedures using company systems and protocols
  • Maintains a clean, safe environment inside the processing area
  • Inspects medicine for defects using a variety of magnification tools
  • Calibrates, operates, cleans and stores packaging equipment including heat sealers, etc.
  • Prints and applies labels to finished product; stores and inventories finished product according to Company policy and as directed by the Inventory Associate
  • Provides consistent oversight of extraction procedures, ensuring standardized requirements and accuracy
  • Masters various techniques for marijuana extraction and infusion
  • Maintains quality control measures to ensure a high-quality product
  • Ensures compliance with State regulations and testing requirements
  • Prepares inventory reports to ensure products are available, on point and in demand
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, materials, equipment, including material safety data sheets for all chemicals and products
  • Ensures accurate weighing and inventory
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of cannabis medical products (distillate, oils, tinctures, topicals, concentrates, edibles etc.)
  • Receive, unpack, and deliver goods/supplies; re-stock items as necessary; label shelves etc.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in biology or chemistry
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in horticulture, botany, or related field
  • Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges
  • Knowledge of basic computer and office equipment operations (inventory systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
  • Math required for inventory, projections, measurements
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to focus; attention to detail
