From Our Grower: The caramel apple pheno’s buds feature large bracts, with a sweet and earthy aroma. This strain’s purple hues reflect that of its haze lineage and parent strain, Purple Haze, a Prime Wellness’ fan favorite, that’s named in honor of one of the most iconic strains in the cannabis kingdom. Although its genetic lineage dates back to the 1970’s, “haze” was not officially introduced to the market, until a European grow shop (known as the Positronic seed bank) opened in 1985. This seed became the source of both Haze ancestors – Purple Linda and African Thai – in this unique Prime Wellness exclusive sativa. Brandon Miller, our Senior Director of Production and Facilities, notes that Purple Thai #22 embodies “old school haze” genetics with a flavor that might be considered abstract in comparison to today’s mainstream cannabis breeding.
